OvatiqueSet up Ovatique on your Mac
About a minute, once. Ovatique is a new independent studio and isn't registered with Apple yet, so the first time you open it your Mac asks you to confirm it in System Settings. After that it opens like any other app.

Download the app
Open your purchase account from the email you got at checkout and download Ovatique for Mac. It's a
.dmgfile of about 18 MB. -

Drag it into Applications
Double-click the downloaded file. In the window that opens, drag Ovatique onto the Applications folder.

Open it once — then click Done
Open Ovatique from your Applications folder. Your Mac says it couldn't check the app and won't open it yet. Click Done — not Move to Trash.

Click Open Anyway
Choose Apple menu › System Settings, click Privacy & Security in the sidebar and scroll down to Security. Next to the note about Ovatique, click Open Anyway, then enter your Mac login password.
The button shows for about an hour after you tried to open the app. If it's gone, open Ovatique once more and come back.

Click Open — you're in
Your Mac asks one last time. Click Open, enter the email and licence key from your purchase email, and your studio sets itself up. From now on Ovatique opens with a normal double-click.
If something's in the way
There's no Open Anyway button
Open Ovatique from Applications again, then go straight back to System Settings › Privacy & Security — the button only appears for about an hour after you try. On a Mac managed by your work or school, these settings may be locked; ask whoever looks after it.
My Mac says the app is damaged
The download was probably cut short. Delete the file, download it again from your purchase account and repeat the steps. Still stuck? Write to us.
Which Macs does it run on?
Macs with Apple silicon (M1 or newer). The first start downloads the Ovatique Engine once — about 3.5 GB in all — so keep some free space.
