Privacy policy

The short version

Ovatique runs on your own computer. Your profile, ideas, drafts, footage, photos and exports stay on your device. We don't have a server that receives them, and the app contains no analytics or advertising trackers.

Who is responsible

Ovatique is made by Antonín Mrázek, a sole trader registered in the Czech Republic (company ID / IČO 11709073), Radošovice 82, 386 01 Radošovice, Czech Republic. You can reach us at support@ovatique.com.

What leaves your device, and why

• Licence check. When you activate Ovatique and now and then afterwards, the app sends your licence key, the email you bought with, a random ID for your device and a short device name (for example “Ovatique · macOS”) to Polar's licence service. This confirms your plan, keeps a key to two devices and gives free days once per device. Legal basis: our contract with you.
• Engine download. On first use the app downloads its engine files from Hugging Face and GitHub. Like any download, those services see your IP address.
• Purchases. Polar (Polar Software, Inc.) handles your payment, tax and receipts as merchant of record, under Polar's privacy policy. We receive what we need to support you, such as your email, plan and country.
• Support. If you email us, we use what you send to answer you.

The waitlist

If you join the waitlist, we store your email, the date you joined and which link brought you (for example Instagram), so we know which channels work. We use your email only to tell you when Ovatique opens and about its launch — a few emails at most, never sold or shared for advertising. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw any time with the unsubscribe link in any of our emails or by writing to support@ovatique.com. The list is stored with Cloudflare, Inc. (D1 database, EU region). If we use an email service to send the launch email, we will name it here before we send. We delete the waitlist within three months after the store opens; if you buy, your purchase records are kept as described below.

This website

This site uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Workers), may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security.

How long we keep data

We keep purchase and licence records for as long as your plan runs and afterwards as long as the law requires for accounting. Support emails are deleted when they are no longer needed. What is on your device is deleted when you delete it or remove the app.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it, and you can object to how we use it. Write to support@ovatique.com. You can also complain to the Czech data protection authority (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, uoou.gov.cz) or the authority where you live.

Ovatique is for people aged 16 and over.
